2019 Lifeguarding Classes

Are you interested in becoming a lifeguard or do you need to re-certify so your license remains valid? Are you a certified lifeguard who would like to pass your knowledge onto others? If so, check out our classes!

The first step to becoming a lifeguard is to register and pass the pre-test. This is a requirement for all candidates seeking certification and for those re-certifying. A “pass” on a pre-test is good for up to 3-months. If the time between the pre-test and the class is greater than 3 months, candidates must re-take the pre-test.

After passing the pre-test, you may register for any of our lifeguarding classes, which are described below. The maximum number of participants in a class is 10 so our classes typically fill up quickly so we encourage you to register early! You can register online or at the Front Desk.

For more information, contact Aquatics Director, Eva Schellenbach, at eschellenbach@rousecenter.com or 540-318-6332.
