Rouse Center Covid-19 Updates

UPDATE 6/25/20:

Rouse Center Members,

On Tuesday, Governor Northam announced that we will be able to enter Phase 3 on Wednesday, July 1. We will continue our physical distancing and increased sanitation procedures and we will be able to open more parts of the building. The list below covers updates in the spaces that will go into effect for Phase 3.

Hours of Operation

Effective July 5, Saturdays and Sundays, we will now close at 5P. So far, we have seen minimal traffic on the weekends. As we see member usage increase, we will readjust the hours. Please note – Saturday, July 4, we will be open 7A – 2P for the holiday.

The Café is now open for grab and go. The kitchen will open on July 6. We will have distanced seating available.

The JCLUB room and Multipurpose room will serve as JCLUB and will open on July 1. You must set up a reservation for a 1-hour 15-minute session. There will be a 15-minute period in between sessions for cleaning in addition to continual cleaning during the sessions. Only 9 kids will be allowed in each room with 1 counselor – 10 people total per room. We will remove all toys that are difficult to disinfect. All kids will use hand sanitizer upon entry and wash hands every 30 minutes. Reservations can be made on our website or by calling the front desk. Kids may only be signed up for one session per day. Sign-ups will open each Sunday for the upcoming week.

Group Exercise Studio

This will remain the cycle studio and available to members when a class is not in session. We will also move Yoga classes back into the studio.

Fitness Center

We will continue physical distancing of equipment in the fitness center.

Basketball Court

Group exercise classes will still be held on the back half of the basketball court. Fitness equipment will be moved back into the fitness center. No full-court games – only open and family play and players must bring their own ball.

Group Exercise/Water Exercise

Reservations will still be required for classes.

Wellness Pool

Wellness Pool will open Monday, July 6th – the jets must remain off.

Competition Pool

Diving boards will remain closed. The pool will be open for lap swim and water exercise.

Recreation Pool

The Splash pad must remain closed and there will be no open swim. The pool will be open for lap swim and water exercise. Private swim lessons will resume.

Guest passes and day passes will be allowed. More membership information will be sent out in July.

I hope everyone stays safe, and we will see you at the gym!
