Summer Water Challenge
Beginning in May, we will be having a Summer Water Challenge for WEX Participants. The goal is to take 30 WEX classes between May 1-July 26.
How it works? There will be a poster on the pool deck where you will initially write your name, and then place a sticker next to your name (given to you by the instructor) after each class. This summer challenge will end as the Summer Olympic Games begin, and we will have a Summer Olympic Event on Saturday, July 27 (More details to come).

Balance Awareness
While many balance disorders are incurable, faster and more accurate diagnosis, along with effective coping strategies, can greatly improve quality of life for those who suffer with these invisible chronic illnesses.
This 50-minute class is low-intensity designed to help improve stability and create a strong core. No registration is required.
Yoga Stretch + Strong30
We’ll start off slow with intentional yoga poses and synchronized breathing before diving into a strength-based workout with upbeat music. Yoga stretch @ 4:30P followed by Strong30 @ 5:30P

LUCK O’ THE IRISH CHALLENGE

Members will have four class options (WEX or GEX) to choose from, each tailored to keep you in the spirit & crush your fitness goals! Grab your favorite green workout gear and get ready to add a fun twist to your routine! Get ready to sham-rock your workout!
Yoga for Men
A yoga class especially designed for men only. This class will focus on strength building poses that offer more of a challenge, work the upper body, and core, and offer flexibility.

Aqua Board Fitness
ABS Aqua Board is a balance and strength-based water-fitness class that uses inflatable, tethered Aqua Body Strong boards in a pool, lake, or marina for a total-body, core strengthening workout for all fitness levels. This training modality challenges the body to maintain proper postural control and alignment while moving through a series of transitional movements on the board increasing balance, strength, endurance, flexibility, and focus.

Snowball Line Dance & Luncheon
Join us on Wednesday, 12/13. The line dance will begin at 11:15AM, and the brunch will begin at noon in the cafe. Stop by the front desk to fill out your menu.

Holiday Gym & Swim
Looking for something to do to shake off the cold weather blues? Join us for a fun day at the Rouse Center! Discounted drop in fees for children 15 and under (18 or older chaperone is required for anyone 15 or under) for the pool and basketball courts! We will have holiday music, free hot chocolate, and diving boards will be open. Everyone who wears a holiday hat, sweater, or headband will have a chance to put their name in a raffle for 1 month free membership OR a free 30 minuet private swim lesson.

Think Pink Week
Think PINK Week is coming! Show your support and raise awareness for Breast Cancer. Wear PINK to all classes October 2-7. We kick off with a girl power cycle class on Monday at 9:15A! And we end with breast cancer awareness WEX classes on Saturday, 10/7 starting at 8A. We will be accepting donations all week to donate to Mary Washington Breast Cancer Awareness.

JUNIOR LIFEGUARD CLASS
This 4-day class takes place Monday - Thursday 9A - 3P, June 12 - 15.
American Red Cross Junior Lifeguarding is designed to guide youth to the American Red Cross Lifeguarding
course by building a foundation of knowledge, attitudes and skills for future lifeguards. Participants are not required to master or perfectly execute skills. They should learn techniques and build stamina during this program.
Participants must adhere to all course requirements to pass the class. Junior Lifeguarding is an effective transition from upper-level Learn-to-Swim courses to the American Red Cross Lifeguarding program, challenging and encouraging participants to stay involved with aquatics.
Junior Lifeguarding will introduce participants to the following:
The skills needed for entry to the American Red Cross Lifeguarding course
Communication, teamwork, and decision-making skills
The basic responsibilities of a lifeguard
The basic knowledge and skills required to participate in the American Red Cross Lifeguarding course.
